Overview

1.1 Applicable for testing thermal protection performance of single-layer or multi-layer materials used in protective clothing exposed to convective and radiant heat hazards. Not suitable for non-flammable materials or those prone to melting/dripping at high temperatures.
1.2 Design principle:
  a. Horizontal placement of flame-retardant samples under combined convective/radiant heat sources
  b. Exposure time recorded when transmitted heat equals second-degree burn threshold
  c. Direct contact simulation (0mm gap) vs spaced contact (6.5mm gap)
  d. Thermal protection value (TPP) calculation: Intersection of heat flux-time curve with Stoll curve
  e. Stoll curve: Standard curve relating burn time to energy exposure – values above curve indicate risk of second-degree burns

Compliance Standards

GB 8965.1-2009 Appendix A, GA 10-2014 Appendix A, NFPA 1971-2017, ISO 12749, GB/T 38302-2019

Product Advantages

1. Computerized control system with LabVIEW software integration
  a. User-friendly interface with automated calculations
  b. Real-time data acquisition (20 samples/sec) and Stoll curve intersection detection
  c. Intelligent temperature compensation algorithm
2. Automated thermal shield system:
  a. ≤0.5s response time for heat shield retraction
  b. Water-cooled shielding mechanism
3. Precision ignition system:
  a. High-voltage spark generator with safety interlock
  b. 38mm diameter gas burner with adjustable air/fuel mixture
4. TPP automatic calculation:
  a. Integration of exposure time and total heat flux
  b. Digital display of calculated TPP value
